Welcome to the home page of Dr. David Cohen, Professor of Social Work at Florida International University in Miami, Florida, and a practicing psychotherapist and consultant. Dr. Cohen holds degrees in psychology and social work from McGill University, Carleton University, and the University of California, Berkeley. Dr. Cohen is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Florida (lic. # 8029).

A practicing social worker since 1975, Dr. Cohen is also a prolific author, researcher, and internationally-recognized expert on psychiatric drugs. He is co-author of the bestseller Your Drug May Be Your Problem (2nd revised edition July 2007), and recently, Critical New Perspectives on ADHD (winner of the 2006 NASEN/Times Educational Supplement Prize for Best Academic Book).

Dr. Cohen works in Miami Beach, Florida with individuals, families, and groups seeking help for a range of problems and issues. He is frequently consulted by individuals and families wishing to wean themselves off psychiatric drugs.
